“Sports facilities and urban regeneration workshop " CyO in Shanghai

Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos was invited to take part in the Workshop “Sports facilities and urban regeneration" organised by the AS Research Centre for Architectural Theory in collaboration with the Southeast University, the Architectural Association School of Architecture and Arcplus Group that was held on 12 December 2017 in Shanghai (China). During this Seminar we had the occasion to participate in a critical session on the projects carried out by students in the Workshop. Besides, several lectures were given about the main topic of the Workshop: the role of modern stadiums in the development and transformation of certain areas of the city. We also had the opportunity to share the most innovative concepts in terms of design and management of sports facilities nowadays. In our lecture we explained some of the most relevant stadium projects realized by our office, Wanda Metropolitano among others, which represent a good example of these ideas. From here we would like to thank both the organising committee and all attendees for the invitation and the interest shown on our work.
