It's been clear to everyone by now, that Coronavirus (COVID-19) has severely impacted the world's economy. Typically, when there are situations like this. We have sports as an outlet to disconnect from the difficult issues faced around the world. With that being said, this week's rundown will give you a comprehensive rundown on Coronavirus and the impact on sports. Every single sport has been impacted by the virus, in some way. Now is the time for leaders to rise to the occasion, and overcome this unique situation.

NCAA President Mark Emmert and the Board of Governors canceled the Division I men’s and women’s 2020 basketball tournaments, as well as all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships. This decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, our ability to ensure the events do not contribute to spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events at any time during this academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities. The NBA announced that a player on the Utah Jazz has preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19. The test result was reported shortly prior to the tip-off of Wednesday's game between the Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena. At that time, Wednesday's game was canceled. The affected player was not in the arena. The NBA is suspending game play following the conclusion of Wednesday's schedule of games until further notice. The NBA will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic. At this time, we have made the decision to postpone the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, the Drive, Chip and Putt Finals, and the Masters Tournament. We understand there will be disappointment; however, the health and well-being of everyone involved is of the utmost importance. The National Hockey League suspended its 2019-2020 regular season due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus, the league announced Thursday. The suspension begins immediately, and games planned for Thursday night will be canceled, the league said. (Source CNBC)

Major League Baseball has cancelled the remainder of its Spring Training games, also announcing that the start of the 2020 regular season will be delayed by at least two weeks due to the national emergency created by the coronavirus pandemic. The decision was announced following a call with all 30 Clubs and after consultation with the Major League Baseball Players Association. Opening Day was originally scheduled for Thursday, March 26. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell notified the clubs today that after careful consideration and consultation with medical experts, the NFL's annual meeting scheduled for March 29-April 1 has been canceled.
