NBA commissioner Adam Silver said in a SportsCenter interview with ESPN's Rachel Nichols on Wednesday night that, as the league attempts to navigate the coronavirus pandemic, one potential option for bringing back the sport would be some kind of charity competition -- separate from regular play -- to give millions of NBA fans stuck at home something to watch. Just hours after announcing he would not be returning to the New England Patriots, Tom Brady found his next destination. TB12 is on his way to T.B.
Brady has finalized an agreement to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a deal worth roughly $30 million per year, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed. (Source NFL.com)
NFLPA & NFL have come to an agreement on the new CBA. "We understand and know that players have been split on this deal, including members of our EC. Going forward, it is our duty to lead, however we may feel as individuals, to bring our men together and to continue to represent the interests of our entire membership." (Source NFLPA)
The Los Angeles Rams have released veteran linebacker Clay Matthews III in addition to running back Todd Gurley. The move saves Los Angeles $3.75 million in salary cap space. (CBS)
The Texans have traded wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and a late-round pick to the Arizona Cardinals for running back David Johnson and a second-round pick, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. (ESPN)
