The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) announced the name of its expansion lacrosse club: Waterdogs LC. The club is scheduled to begin play in the 2020 season. (Source Lacrosse Magazine)
LaMelo Ball (Projected #1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft) has been offered $100 million and a private jet to sign a sneaker endorsement deal. The company offering the shoe deal is unknown, however, the offer appears to be quite 'series.' (Source Corey Williams)
The National Football League is celebrating another victory as the league finished its 100th regular season with a 5% gain in average viewership compared to last season, according to data provided to CNBC. (Source CNBC)
A look back at the most-watched sporting events of the 2010s. The NFL dominated the decade, generating the 40 largest sports audience between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2019. The most-watched game was the Patriots’ Super Bowl 49 win over the Seahawks, which averaged a U.S. television record 114.44 million viewers on NBC in 2015. Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler and the Jordan Brand have mutually agreed to part ways, bringing Butler's multiyear footwear and apparel endorsement deal with the company to an end 10 months before its original Sept. 30, 2020, expiration date, industry sources have confirmed. (Source ESPN)
