With MLS's newest expansion LAFC having started to a flying start in obtaining Carlos Vela, a 2018 entry prompts the challenge to see how I fare with his prior club.

Swansea a club in Wales boasting 20,000 fans in the stands with a plethora of others waiting to get in. A welcoming club to any manager who dares risk his reputation on a side which is often disregarded due to being a Welsh team playing in the English Premier League.

Starting off in Soccer Manager '18 edition the side has star-studded players that took many by surprise when they went to Swansea, mainly Sanches, the club is fighting to become a top contender in either Europa League or Champions League. The effort will be enormous as chemistry in prior management has never become priorities. Adding an expansion in stands to add a more fan-driven experience in the stadium is well taken by board members who delight in growing their club. 

Preseason matches 

Queens Park Rangers

This season championship side has a chance to climb back up to the Premier League, starting a well preseason could boost morale especially the first game which some indicate as "Starting off as you mean to go on". Swansea's side is the clear favorite with returning Swansea striker Wilferd Bony helping teammate J. Ayew in goal-scoring duties. Narsigh assists two goals in the opening five minutes this game is in the books before it's even begun Ayew happy to be able to roam the wing becoming a free-scoring sensation. Halftime arrives cheers everywhere we just beat a Championship side, don't get too excited as we're trying to get into Champions League. 

Brentford 1 - 5 Swansea 

Goal scoring opportunities come Brentford keeper receives a barrage of shots sixty-third minutes in he parries it wide it midfield, what's this Olsons drops a knuckling shot back into the net from thirty yards. This match is done and a high chance of their promotion chances are also.

Blackburn

A real challenge in this preseason, the former Premier League contenders have been stagnated in Championship limbo. The sides gather at Blackburn home giving them the home advantage this is countered by a midfield that is qualified and able to retain possession. Ping pong passing is squandered by poor finishing that the keep predicts directly into his chest, pinned against the clock a goal is needed by both sides to claim victory, no dice. Another close game that both sides played their best defense, the only good point of discussion in the analysis.

We are becoming a training ground for the upcoming star talent, many other clubs are now noticing a new connection with FC Bayern allows media to speculate about growth. Preseason is over a phone-call comes in it's a Manchester side this is quite unexpected given it's my first season. Back in preparation Fernandez is brought back into the first team squad line-up a strong counterattack brings the technical staff to follow in awe as the strategy works out three goals to the good the fans sing my name as they stay a bit after for a standing ovation, Bony scores to bring his former club in Manchester to the reanalysis of their own tactical prowess for a Guardiola. Job security seems more possible to continually enhance a reliable squad.

Closing in on the Winter transfer window many clubs are sacking their managers & I getting calls from top clubs as Liverpool and Tottenham are willing to take a chance on gelling their squad into an Invincible season quality squad. Like many who know as a former Arsenal fan choosing Tottenham is a big betrayal, the decision is quick and swift. I stay. The Hart stadium would have been devastated if Harry Kane was allowed to follow Bale into a Real team if I had chosen to partake their challenge.

FC Bayern is interested in my Cup wins in my first season and the ability to include their highly-rated Renato Sanches, a loan offer for one of my homegrown youth academy talent is set. Recognition is set, team morale is high in most areas Fernandez our highest rated player is homesick, hopefully, this is true as his performance has been lower than standards and not an excuse to move to a rival team. Santa Cruz calls claiming they're pulling out of negotiations as a response to their offer took to long, I must have missed the memo. Para qual offer to offload the Argentinian off my hands, no argument as they offer a bit more than his valuation.
