With this edition, we will shed some light on the upcoming UEFA EURO 2024?, which will take place in Germany. ? With the final qualifying round completed recently, all spots for the tournament are now filled, except for those participating in the play-offs in March. Following the qualifying round, the final tournament draw is set to take place on December 2nd at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany. The draw is eagerly anticipated, as it will determine which matches to expect during the final tournament round. Who will the current European champions Italy face? Whom will Germany encounter on the opening night in Munich? Which nation will surprise us the most? ?
Regardless of the fixtures, EURO 2024 promises to be a unique event with sports history set to be made in Germany. UEFA EURO 2024? Countdown ??
The final qualifying round for next summer’s European Championship occurred with 21 teams now guaranteed a spot in Germany. The draw for the tournament will take place in Hamburg on Saturday with three more teams looking to qualify via the play-offs in March. ? ?
Australia Shock The World At CWC ??
The curtain came down on the 13th edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup with a pulsating final between hosts India and Australia. It was the Australians who emerged victorious in Ahmedabad, thanks in part to Travis Head who hit a stunning century (137) to lead his country to a sixth World Cup crown. ? ?
NFL Extravaganza in Frankfurt ??
The NFL touched down in Germany in November with two games played in Frankfurt as part of the NFL International Series, with SPORTFIVE at the forefront of the brand activation activity. At the start of the month, SPORTFIVE client - the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Miami Dolphins before it was the turn of the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots, with the former winning. Over 100,000 fans watched the games in Frankfurt, while Fanatics & the NFL celebrated the highest merchandise revenue on a gameday outside of the U.S representing a record-breaking week for the league and their partners.?
Micheluzzi Shines at Moonah Links ??
SPORTFIVE golf client David Micheluzzi made it a month to remember as he won the Victorian PGA Championship at Moonah Links.The Australian produced a stunning comeback in the final round, overcoming a seven-shot deficit to take home the title on a total of 14-under.? ?
What Verstappen(s) in Vegas, Stays In Vegas ???
All eyes were on Las Vegas as it hosted its first Formula One World Championship race. The temporary street circuit, which included parts of the iconic Las Vegas strip was conquered by world champion Max Verstappen. The Dutchman went on to win the final race of the season at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to make it a historic 19 wins for the season, having led for an all time record of 1,003 laps throughout the season.
Europe's Elite Target Last 16 ??
Matchweeks four and five took place this month in the UEFA Champions League, as Europe’s elite battled to book their spots in the knockout stages next February. Among those to have already booked their spot for the last 16 are current holders Manchester City and six-time winners Bayern Munich. The group stages come to a close on the 13th December.
