Georgia, Poland and Ukraine seal their spot at UEFA EURO 2024??

The final three spots for this summer’s European Championship in Germany were up for grabs in March via the Play-Offs with Georgia, Poland and Ukraine securing their place after dramatic victories against Greece, Wales and Iceland respectively. With less than three months to go, all eyes are now on the opening game of UEFA EURO 2024? on Friday 14th June.??

Manchester City meet Real Madrid in UCL Quarter-Finals

The final eight teams of this season’s men's UEFA Champions League was determined in March following the conclusion of the Round of 16. The Quarter-Final draw saw holders Manchester City drawn against Real Madrid while Arsenal are set to face Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.??In the Women's UEFA Champions League Semi-Final draw, reigning champions Barcelona will play Chelsea while Lyon will take on PSG in an all-French tie.

Magnificent March for SPORTFIVE golf talent?

It was another busy month for SPORTFIVE golf clients, including a first-time victory for Bailey Tardy on the LPGA Tour after winning the Blue Bay LPGA. Meanwhile,?Jordan Gumberg also made history by claiming his first win on the DP World Tour at the SDC Championship in South Africa.?Joe Durant picked up his fifth PGA Champions Tour title after winning the Cologuard Classic at La Paloma Country Club. Kazuma Kobori was also awarded both the Order of Merit and the Rookie of the Year award on the 2024 PGA Tour of Australasia, earning his full DP World Tour status for 2025 in the process.??

Formula 1 season begins with Verstappen leading the way

The 2024 Formula 1 season got underway with reigning champion Max Verstappen winning the opening two races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia respectively. It was Carlos Sainz who took victory Down Under however after winning the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.?

Ireland make it back-to-back Six Nations?

The curtain came down on the 2024 Six Nations with Ireland retaining their crown after defeating Scotland on Dublin on a dramatic final day. Despite losing to England at Twickenham in the penultimate round of fixtures, Ireland had enough to make it back-to-back titles.?Meanwhile the Women's Six Nations began at the close of March with current holders England opening their campaign with a win against Italy.
