But First…
Graduation season is upon us. As a family or friend to a graduate, it’s not uncommon to give the gift that always fits—cold hard cash.
As a graduate, it’s easy to pocket it away for textbooks, trips abroad, summer vacations, or other experiential life events. Rarely do you hear the sage advice to make your first investment in the market and watch it grow. Let alone receive an offer to have a trusted friend help you begin investing.
But one might argue it’s the most important time to do just that—learn about how money compounds and grows. Learn the joys and pitfalls of investing in public and private markets. The importance of understanding what to do when the market swings. Understand the meaning of diversification and accreditation. Take risks while adult life is still in its infancy.
Cashmere port co EarlyBird is teaching a new generation of children how and why to invest. We believe the societal value of their offering is tremendous to the financial health of the next generation.
But that brings us back to the graduates who haven’t had this sage advice while growing up.
What is your sage advice for the class of 2024 as they begin their investment journeys? Comment and let us know.

Founder Spotlight ??
Lee Mayer, co-founder and CEO of Havenly, had never planned to disrupt the interior design industry. She started the company out of a personal problem back when she first moved to Denver from New York City.
Lee’s journey started at Columbia University where she earned a Bachelor of Science. She went on to earn her MBA from Harvard Business School while working as a consultant at Bain. When she decided to take a job at Bankrate and relocate to Denver, she quickly realized the lack of accessible, efficient, and high-quality interior design services. So she went out to start her own.
Havenly quickly gained meaningful traction in just a few years. With its acquisitions of Interior Define, The Inside, and The Citizenry, Havenly is at an inflection point for scale for not just design, but for all things home and goods. In fact, Lee is being awarded BEN Colorado’s 2024 Growth Award “for her magnificent leadership and innovation in building the largest digital-first, direct-to-consumer platform in the home decor market.” We couldn't agree more.
