Spooky Partnerships

Its Halloween and as per usual distributors will quite rightly release some of their more gory and scary films for the Halloween period. Whilst not impossible it is pretty tricky to find brand partners on horror films, especially the more brutal ones, however with Haloween around the corner it did get me thinking of the partnerships we have carried out at Lime on titles that are slightly more dark and spooky than usual…

HORROR CHANNEL x FOOD HUB

We ran a promotion over the Halloween weekend period with Food Hub – perfect combination, order food to be delivered on Halloween and hide behind the sofa watching scary films with Horror Channel. Promoted through numerous touch points by Food Hub and with some really cool creative executions.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES x NISSAN JUKE

This was not a scary partnership but definitely a ‘dark’ one..The Dark Knight Rises and Nissan , a partnership we originated incredibly 10 years ago. The theatrical campaign ran with a TV advert, outdoor, press, cinema combining to a spend of over £1m. The campaign working so well that it expanded into other European territories and then continued with new creative around the home entertainment window. Nissan put together some incredibly eye catching and authentic imagery fusing the Nissan Juke car (especially headlights) with Batman

BLADE 2 x GARLIC!

Let’s face it, this one will not win any creative awards but it brings a smile to my face every time. The Home Entertainment release of Blade 2 - a film about vampires and within the same supermarkets that sold the DVD (remember when you could buy DVD’s in a Sainsbury’s?) an on pack tag on all garlic bulbs promoting Blade 2.

Genius..

HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3 x GTR RAIL

Not all spooky films are 18 certificate and scary – Hotel Transylvania will always be the best ‘spooky’ family franchise and this campaign ran with GTR rail encompassing national press, outdoor & social, all promoting ideas on what to do with your ‘little monsters’ over the summer period.

A particularly engaging part of the campaign was the poster campaign urging you to stay hydrated?over the hot summer and used Drac to amplify this campaign.?
