SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The 20th International Federation of Health Information Management Associations (IFHIMA) Congress will be hosted in Brisbane, Australia in 2023, by the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA), in conjunction with HIMAA’s 40th National Conference. Health Information Management Professionals plan, design, develop, implement, and manage health information systems and services, and clinical and administrative data, to meet the medical, ethical, legal, and administrative requirements (including coding and costing) of health care delivery. The Congress theme is ‘Advancing global health: in pursuit of high-quality digital information’.

IFHIMA has 32 member nations. There is a degree of disparity in capacity for would-be presenters/delegates from Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC) to support themselves to participate in this valuable educational and networking experience.

IFHIMA/HIMAA are inviting support from companies who depend on reliable health data, to sponsor individuals from LMIC countries to attend the Congress, being held from 29th October – 1st November 2023. A LMIC Sponsorship Fund has been created whereby delegates can apply for support. Organisations’ contributions will support all, or part of, a full registration, return air fares and accommodation (4 days) (between AU$2,000 and $10,000, depending on country). Our volunteer members will assess the applications and award the sponsorship. Your company logo and link will be displayed on our web page, (also the funding information and application form) and your contribution will be noted with thanks during the Congress, and in the published Congress Proceedings.

The program provides delegates with the opportunity to share their expertise, research projects, and practical professional experiences through workshops and peer-reviewed presentations on the themes of:

The exhibition will include major Australian and international vendors sharing their latest innovations and products that address analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, clinical coding and documentation improvement, ICD-10 and ICD-11 software, privacy and security, and much more.

Registrations for the Congress will open on 15 February 2023. Priority for sponsorship support will be given to LMIC members whose submissions have been accepted for presentation at the Congress, and who are required to register and pay by 29 August 2023.
