The Conference Mission

The conference mission is to support our stakeholders build partnerships across deterrence and resilience.? Major public institutions have already invested €150,000 in this important working conference the core premise of which is that in democratic nations the relationship between deterrence and resilience is as important as the relationship between deterrence and defence.? We need your expertise because the range of factors that underpin a nation’s overall resilience is broad and extends from climate change mitigation, to protecting against pandemics, to addressing fairly and equitably the opportunities and risks of large-scale migrations, to promoting social and economic equity, and to countering terrorism and domestic populist extremism.

The Conference Objectives

The specific objectives are to identify practical policy and planning implications enhancing protection of those resilience categories which an adversary would use to exploit vulnerabilities through covert or open aggression; for example, attacking or negating communications and energy nodes, critical infrastructure, continuity of government, cyber defences, or military mobility-related transportation nodes and targeting those susceptible to disinformation and propaganda.
