Sponge puff secondary processing
Nowadays, the styles of sponge puffs are very rich, which is inseparable from a variety of secondary processing. The following will briefly introduce several common secondary processing methods.
Throwing layer
The raw material can be foamed into rods and sheets as described in the previous fabrication process. The sponge foamed into a sheet must first use a layer throwing machine to gradually throw the relatively thick sheet to the required thickness through the layer throwing process, and then perform punching processing.
Punching
After the raw material is foamed into a rod or sheet, it can be punched by a hydraulic punching machine after the throwing layer. For example, sheet punching, the sheet is placed on a pre-made knife mold, and after punching through a punching machine, a powder puff of the required size can be obtained.
Edging
The puff obtained by cutting the rod or sheet still has edges and corners, and needs to be edged to obtain a puff with smooth edges. Choose the correct mold and grinding wheel, and grind the product after debugging until the shape, size, and finish meet the requirements.
3D grinding
When making three-dimensional powder puffs (such as drop-shaped and gourd-shaped puffs), it is necessary to use a special grinder for 3D grinding. The principle is similar to key matching: fix the model and the material to be ground on the machine, and move slowly in one direction at the same time, the machine will gradually grind the material into the same shape as the model from the beginning to the end. Grind the tip first, then the tail.
Flocking
Through flocking, a powder puff with a softer feel can be produced, and the technology is relatively simple. First apply glue to the side of the puff that needs to be flocked. Then place the powder puff and very fine nylon fibers in a DC high-voltage environment, and use static electricity to make the nylon fibers stick to the powder puff vertically. It can be fixed after drying and heat treatment. For flocking, in addition to the quality of the fluff, the glue used to fix the fluff is also more important. The quality of the glue will determine whether the fluff after flocking is firm or not. The general test method is to confirm whether the hair is removed by washing with water or sticking with tape.

Composite materials

In the thermal processing of polyurethane, high-frequency welding machines are used more.
