Splunk ITSI for AIOps

Someone asked me recently what I liked about Splunk ITSI and after trying to figure out a short answer I decided instead to name 10 things because it was just that easy. I'm starting a series of posts where every day I am going to tell you some of the best things about Splunk ITSI. So here you go Day 1:

Splunk ITSI has all your data. It doesn't just collect events when something goes awry, it collects performance metrics, it allows you to create KPI's. KPI's, you know those things YOU use to measure how healthy or unhealthy something is. KPI's are like taking your blood pressure to make sure your heart is operating normally instead of waiting until you have a heart attack. We do that with Data. Only splunk can do that. It's real-time, yes you read that correctly, Splunk is real time. In real-time it takes all the data you are already putting into Splunk and uses machine learning to immediately detect anomalies and tell you how well or badly something is performing. It isn't smoke and mirrors, it's listening to your data. You already trust Splunk for triaging so why wouldn't you also trust Splunk ITSI for the diagnosis. Stop chasing your tail by jumping into Splunk from other tools - just stay in Splunk and Listen to Your Data. #splunkITSI #splunk
