Yes... this year FITS starts on the 21st June, the Solstice day.

Yes... we will welcome John Malkovich to Sibiu this edition.

Yes... tens of thousands of people come to FITS to enjoy the thousands of shows for 10 days in June, since 1993.

Yes... great Friends come again to Sibiu this year to perform and rejoice... Tim Robbins, Mikhail Baryshnikov to name just two...

Here are some of the highlights that will be part of FITS31:

In the solitude of the cotton fields, show directed by Timofey Kulyabin, with John Malkovich and Ingeborga Dapkūnait? on June 26, 27 and 28 at the Culture Factory.

Trembling of the soul, a show with the star of French cinema, Isabelle Adjani, in an exceptional role at the State Philharmonic on June 26 .

ANGELA (a loop in time) , a bold show performed by one of the most appreciated personalities in the German theater, Susanne Kennedy, at the Culture Factory on June 28 and 29 .

Not once , a video installation made by two great artists of the world: Mikhail Baryshnikov and Jan Fabre. 5 video performances scheduled every day, throughout the duration of the festival.

Aphrodite and the Liberation of the World (a Greek musical vaudeville) a world premiere performance by The Actor's Gang, the company led by Tim Robbins. 3 performances at the State Philharmonic on June 21 and 22 .

Awakening , another show presented in the world premiere in Sibiu, created by Pippo Delbono together with Emilia Romagna Teatro, on June 21 and 22 .

Alice , a contemporary dance show brought by the B.Dance company from Taipei, on June 24 and 25 at the Ion Besoiu Cultural Center.

Sol invictus , a contemporary dance performance by the French company Herve Koubi on June 26 and 27 at the Ion Besoiu Cultural Center.

African-style circus , from the Cirque Kalabanté company, a Canada-Guinea co-production, on June 28 and 29 at the Ion Besoiu Cultural Center.

The Carpathians as spots on my skin , a show from the Burgtheater directed by Mira Stadler based on a text for which the author Thomas Perle received the Retzhof Drama Award in 2019, on June 27 and 28 at the Gong Theatre.

As for the outdoor shows, the program is full of magical moments:

People Power Partnership (PPP) is a participatory theater-dance project for public space, which facilitates real and sustainable encounters, in an artistic context, and will be presented on June 21, in Pia?a Mare.

In the footsteps of Moby Dick presents a true urban odyssey of Captain Ahab in pursuit of the famous cetacean on June 22, in Piata Mare.

Remue Ménage company's invitation to the ball takes us back to La Belle époque, where time is fleeting and people meet, where dance and circus bring good cheer, where beauty surrounds us, in the Great Square.
