SPIRO & REVITALIZE: EMPOWERING WOMEN, SUSTAINING THE FUTURE
By Brenda Amondi, with contributions from Irene Wanga, Susan Rodrigues, Wangeci Kanjama, Teresiah Wanjiku, Tiffany Muhia and Imtinen Hamlaoui.
What started as a conversation between two visionary women about farm-to-fork has evolved into a movement for climate resilience, economic empowerment, and equitable access to clean technology. While "farm-to-fork" often emphasizes fresh produce, these trailblazers envisioned something greater—ensuring that sustainability extends beyond agriculture to mobility and market access. The solution? Electric mobility solutions for women in agriculture, bridging the gap between sustainable farming and green transportation.
Women have always been the backbone of families, tilling the land to feed generations, yet many face barriers to market access, mobility, and economic independence. This initiative goes beyond subsistence farming, equipping women with EV bikes to transport sustainably grown produce efficiently, reducing post-harvest losses, increasing their economic opportunities, and lowering carbon footprints.
Championing at the forefront for EV revolution, SPIRO is driving systemic change by enabling clean mobility solutions that cut carbon emissions and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. As we mark International Women's Day, we refuse to settle for mere words—we’re reaffirming our commitment to climate-smart solutions, inclusive economic participation, and sustainable livelihoods. This initiative will not only create jobs and enhance self-sufficiency but also demonstrate that women are key drivers of climate action and economic growth.
We want young women and girls to see that they have a place in sustainability, agriculture, and entrepreneurship.? SPIRO & REVITALIZE are paving way for a greener, more inclusive future together. There’s no better day to launch this journey than tomorrow.
Let’s celebrate International Women’s Day with real impact. A cleaner environment, empowered women, and a future without limits.
