The hidden wisdom in our young ones
Most of you know my story of how I saw those who had died when I was younger, but most don’t know our son’s story. When our son was four, he became obsessed with the Titanic. For about a year, he would watch and read everything he could find on the Titanic. He knew the layout of the ship, identifying rooms and details that didn’t exist in any of the materials he had access to. He spoke about things as if he had been on that boat. I knew without a doubt that he had been on the Titanic when it sank. But then, a year later, he lost all interest in it, as if the memory had simply faded.
?In today's world, where spirituality is often explored later in life, it's wonderful to consider that some of our youngest family members may already be attuned to realms beyond our understanding. Spirituality in children is a topic that often raises eyebrows, yet countless parents and caregivers have witnessed extraordinary moments that defy conventional explanations. These "Spiritual Kids" are not just imagining things; they are accessing wisdom that transcends their years.
One of the most astonishing aspects of Spiritual Kids is their ability to recall past lives. Imagine your four-year-old describing in vivid detail a place they've never been, or recounting events that happened long before they were born. These moments aren't just fanciful tales; they can be startlingly accurate accounts of historical events, cultural practices, or even personal memories from another lifetime.
Studies and anecdotal evidence suggest that between the ages of two and five, some children possess an uncanny ability to remember details from what seem to be past lives. One example of many on this may be in little girl a current black family who says how they grew up as a white male in their other life with a different family. These memories often fade as the child grows older, but while they last, they offer a glimpse into the possibility that life is a continuous journey, not confined to a single physical existence.
Another remarkable phenomenon among Spiritual Kids is their ability to see or communicate with deceased relatives. It's not uncommon for a child to describe conversations with a grandparent who passed away before they were born, or to speak of playing with a sibling who died in infancy. While these experiences can be both comforting and unsettling for parents, they highlight the possibility that children are naturally more attuned to the spiritual world.
This ability to perceive the unseen often manifests in early childhood, when the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds seems to be thinner. Children may describe seeing bright lights, feeling a presence, or even hearing voices that others cannot. These experiences are often dismissed as vivid imaginations, but for many, they are profound and real encounters with the spiritual realm.
As children grow, they eventually enter the tumultuous phase of adolescence. The hormonal changes that occur between the ages of 11 and 21 can be overwhelming, not just physically but also spiritually. This period is often marked by a decline in spiritual abilities, as the body and mind undergo significant transformation.
However, what I have seen over the many years is that during the hormonal surge of puberty, it creates in many kids a kind of spiritual "static," making it harder for young people to access the intuitive and spiritual gifts they once had. This is a time when many Spiritual Kids begin to lose touch with the memories of past lives and the ability to perceive the unseen. However, this loss is not necessarily permanent. As they mature and their hormonal levels stabilize, some may find that these abilities return, often in new and more profound ways.
As parents, educators, and caregivers, it is essential to nurture the spiritual aspects of our children's lives, even if we don't fully understand them. Encouraging open conversations about their experiences, offering validation, and providing a safe space for exploration can help Spiritual Kids feel supported. While it's normal for these abilities to fade during adolescence, maintaining a connection to spirituality through meditation, creative expression, or simply spending time in nature can help keep the spiritual door open.
In conclusion, Spiritual Kids remind us that there is more to life than meets the eye. Whether they are recalling past lives, communicating with the deceased, or simply displaying an unusual level of intuition, these children offer us a unique glimpse into the mysteries of existence.
By recognising and nurturing their gifts, we not only support their spiritual development but also enrich our own understanding of the spiritual journey. As they grow, the wisdom of their early years may continue to influence and guide them, leading to a deeper connection with the world around them and the unseen realms beyond.
