Spiritual Business Leaders

It might be hard sometimes to link the dry numbers driven business environment with spirit or to ever think of your boss as a spiritual leader!

In this article, I'm trying to address the following questions? Is there a spiritual leadership style in business? Do we have spiritual leaders out of the mosques, churches or temples? What are the characteristics for those leaders?

Think of leaders in the political domain like Mahatma Gandhi. He wasn’t the most powerful, richest or most charismatic man in India. Only with his great spiritual power, he managed to lead the white revolution in India! 

Look at Mandela ! You will definitely feel the spiritual power that influenced the whole world to fight against the color discrimination 

Read about prophet Mohammed, who was put by Michale Hart on top of the 100 most influential people because he managed to hit the success in building a state and yet inspired his followers to become strong believers. Number one leadership style that describes him again is spiritual leadership 

Having said that, what’s the characteristics of the spiritual business leaders!

• Human! They are dealing with humans as a flush, blood and spirit. They are not dealing with robots and you will always feel the spiritual touch into their speeches and day to day acts and decisions 
• They walk the talk! They don’t give their preaching about the high business ethics and values, then act differently at the first occasion those values contradict with their interest 
• Honest! Those guys are diplomatic, yet they are extremely honest! They can’t laugh at the faces of their teams and act against them! Even if they are firing people, they deal with this with the utmost honesty and compassion 
• Religious! Regardless of their religious background, they dedicate sometime for their spiritual treatment. This will be the fuel to spread the true spiritual leadership across 

Finally, spiritual leaders might not be the most charismatic, educated or sophisticated leaders. However, those are the the ones capable to turn their teams into followers .... away from the definition of social media followers!
