SPIRIT OF A SURVIVOR

Written On World Poetry Day 2022. Dedicated to Endurance, Perseverance, Hope.

(This poem represents an imagined survivor’s urge to a dear one to emerge out of difficult times that includes pandemic, war & many other situations.)

There are dreams to come true,

When the Sun Goes up,

And the Sky Shows Blue

Will you be there to see it too?

When those golden rays touch

The shadows will still be dark

But with hopes of exceptional future to behold

On that journey we shall embark.

So, I ask,

Will you be there to see it too?

To build with me a brightest future

And in its glory, we shall bask.

There are golden times ahead

With much to accomplish

These shadows are made of strength

The time is right to perfect our wish.

Imagine those people filled white sandy beach shores

When the sultry stickiness of the heat

Welcomes an ice filled drink

Be there when this could all change in a blink.

Imagine those green forest mountains

And those bustling glassy office buildings

A crowded world without fear of existing

Survive with me! Endure now!?

To be there,

When the Sun Goes up

And the Sky shows blue

You will see, our wishes will soon come true.
