THE SPIRIT OF POWER, LOVE AND SELF-DISCIPLINE.

FOUNDATION SCRIPTURE:

"For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."

HOLY SPIRIT, HAVE YOUR WAY.

Have you ever felt crippled by fear? That stomach-churning anxiety that whispers "where is your God now," "your God has forsaken you" ,"you're not good enough," "you'll never overcome this," or "you don't have what it takes." Fear is a bully that tries to back us into a corner and sap us of courage.

But this verse offers us a powerful antidote to the venom of fear. It reveals that when we were born again, God embedded His Spirit within us that destroys fear, timidity and cowardice. Yes, The Holy Spirit brings supernatural infusion of power, love and self-discipline!

This power doesn't refer to worldly power or dominance over people, but rather the spiritual power, energy and resilience to live a triumphant Christian life. It's the dynamic power that enabled heroes of the faith to persevere despite overwhelming circumstances. To scale mountains of adversity. To stare down threats and persist in the call of God without flinching.

And this power is fused with love so strong, unwavering agape love that remains faithful despite difficulties or persecutions. This love casts out fear because it understands how treasured we are by our Heavenly Father.

Finally, we've been graced with a spirit of self-discipline. A "safe mind" that has been delivered from irrational fears. It's a steady, balanced mindset of emotional mastery that prevents us from becoming what the enemy wants us to become.

So whenever fear comes knocking, trying to wriggle its way into the doorways of your mind, you can calmly expel it through this powerful force: "I will not receive a spirit of fear because God has given me The SPIRIT of POWER to overcome every adversity; The spirit of LOVE that counts me infinitely precious; and The spirit of SELF-DISCIPLINE to remain steady and emotionally secure no matter what assaults may come!"

Take a deep breath and allow this transforming, fear-demolishing power from God to fill your heart today.

You have all the spiritual reinforcements needed to stare down every intimidation of the enemy. Power is yours! Love is yours! Self-control is yours! Fear has no place in the life of one yielded to The Holy Spirit. (Say to yourself, I ( call your name) I AM THAT ONE. Amen.
