Last week, we introduced the G.R.A.S.P. F.A.I.T.H. framework as our guide for 2025 planning, where F.A.I.T.H. reminds us to seek For Alignment In The Highest Purpose. Today, let's focus on the first step - Gather Information - with simple, practical steps anyone can implement.
Why Gathering Matters
Before rushing into setting goals for 2025, we need to understand where we are and how God has been moving in our lives and organizations.
Think of gathering information like taking a holy pause - it's your chance to see God's fingerprints on your journey so far.
Three Simple Ways to Gather
1. Review God's Faithfulness
Start by looking back at 2024:
-What victories has God given you?
-Where has He provided unexpectedly?
-What challenges became opportunities?
2. Assess Current Reality
Take an honest look at where you are:
-What's working well in your organization?
-Where are you feeling stretched?
-What feedback are you hearing from your team and customers?
3. Notice Open Doors
Pay attention to opportunities God might be highlighting:
-What new possibilities are emerging?
-Which relationships are deepening?
-What needs do you see that align with your calling?
Making It Practical: Your Weekly Focus
Instead of trying to gather everything at once, focus on one area each week:
Week 1: Look Back
-Spend 15 minutes each morning reviewing one quarter of 2024
-Journal key moments of God's faithfulness
领英推荐
-Note lessons learned and wisdom gained
Week 2: Look Around
-Have one meaningful conversation each day with a team member
-Review key metrics that matter most to your organization
-Listen for what God might be saying through others
The F.A.I.T.H. Filter
As you gather information, run it through this simple filter:
Is this For Alignment with the Highest (God's) purpose? Meaning:
-Will this lead to the advancement of His Kingdom?
-Does this demonstrate Integrity in our decisions?
-Does this help us aim toward our Highest calling?
-Does this serve His Purpose for our organization?
Your Simple Next Steps
Start Today:
-Create a simple journal or document for capturing insights
-Schedule your 15-minute morning reflection times
-Identify 5 key people to have conversations with
Keep It Focused:
-Don't try to gather everything
-Focus on quality over quantity
-Write down what stands out most
Looking Ahead
Next week, we'll explore the 'R' in G.R.A.S.P. F.A.I.T.H. - Reflect on the Situation. The simple but purposeful information you gather now will be the foundation for meaningful reflection later.
Remember, the goal isn't to gather massive amounts of data but to discern what God has been doing and where He might lead. Start small, stay consistent, and watch how God uses this process to clarify your 2025 planning.
