The Spirit of EXIT Helps Address Food Insecurity in Maryland

Before social distancing became a thing, Saul Kloper, Broker/Owner, and the team at EXIT on the Harbor Realty, knocked on doors to raise money and collect donations of food to benefit the Maryland Food Bank.  Saul explained why he chose this worthy cause to support, “While U.S. news recently ranked Maryland as the wealthiest state in the nation, one in every nine Marylanders including one in seven children suffers from food insecurity. Nearly a quarter of a million Marylanders face very low food security, a condition associated with progressive symptoms of starvation.”

A portion of every transaction fee received by EXIT Realty Corp. International is applied to its charitable fund. Through the Spirit of EXIT Dollar-for-Dollar Matching Program, EXIT offices and associates can raise money for local, approved, registered charities and apply to EXIT’s head office to have those funds matched from the company’s pledged pool of funds. The team at EXIT on the Harbor Realty raised $377 which is enough money to provide 1,131 meals. EXIT Realty Corp. International proudly matched their efforts for a total donation to the Maryland Food Bank of $754.

“For 40 years, the Maryland Food Bank has served as the statewide safety net for food-insecure Marylanders,” said Rachel Christian, Donor Relations Specialist with the Maryland Food Bank. “We can only do this because of supporters like you. Together, we can distribute more food and strive to connect Marylanders to the resources they need to address the root causes of hunger. Please extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in your fundraiser.”
