The Spirit of Adventure?—?Day 11 #100Days100Words

Going hand in hand with my post on learning other languages and cultures is the thing that makes them happen, travel. Taking trips, having adventures is an essential part of my life-well-lived plan.

As a Christmas present, dear friends of Alyra and mine gave us the book Where to go When, by the Lonely Planet and it perfectly fits into our intended plan for this year of adventuring. So far we have plans for our honeymoon in Yellowstone, treasure hunting, whale watching, ziplining, sky diving, gazing at the stars, planets, and meteor showers, backpacking, rafting, visiting friends and family around the US, and exploring more of our great state of California.

I am so excited for what this year is going to bring to us, all of our adventures together and the different places that we will experience. It nourishes my soul to travel and to experience new places. A suitcase is just as good of a place to keep my clothes as a dresser.

I’ll plan to write, photograph and post about them here. Hopefully this trend will continue.
