SPINNER MICROTURN - Ultra-Precision Turn-Mill-Center

MICROTURN-L: submicron precision lathe to produce highest level of workpieces with linear tooling. The super-precision built-in turning spindle moving in X/Z-axis allows the precision repeatability for reaching closest tolerances. In the working area there is a gang-type fixed table to hold fixed precision turning tools for submicron turning, as well as optional accessories such as grinding spindles, deep-hole drilling devices or grippers for simple automation.

MICROTURN-LT: combination between a submicron precision lathe and a universal Lathes uniquely design to produce highest level of workpieces. The super-precision built-in turning spindle moving in X/Z-axis allows the precision repeatability for reaching closest tolerances. In working area of the machine are two tool-holding devices:

  • Gang-type fixed table for fixed precision turning tools for submicron turning;
  • Turret with Y-axis in the bottom of working area for universal applications.

MICROTURN-LTB: combination between a submicron precision lathe and a 5-axis Machining Center in unique design to produce highest level of workpieces in one operation only. The super-precision built-in turning spindle moving in X/Z-axis is allows the precision repeatability for reaching closest tolerances. In the working area of the machine are three tool-holding devices:

  • Gang-type fixed table to for fixed precision turning tools for submicron turning;
  • Turret with Y-axis in the bottom of working area for universal applications;
  • Milling spindle with tool-changer, B-axis and Y-axis in upper working area for Turn-Mill applications with up to 72 tools.

MICROTURN-LTBS: combination between a submicron precision lathe and a 5-axis Machining Center in unique design to produce highest level of workpieces in one operation only. The two opposite identical turning spindles moving in X/Z-axis produce precision repeatability for reaching closest tolerances. In between the two spindles are three tool-holding devices:

  • Gang-type fixed table for fixed precision turning tools for submicron turning;
  • Turret with Y-axis in the bottom of working area for universal applications;
  • Milling spindle with tool-changer, B-axis and Y-axis in upper working area for Turn-Mill applications with up to 72 tools.

MICROTURN-GRIND: the first true combination of an ultraprecision hard turning machine and an internal and external grinding machine. With the MICROTURN-GRIND, you can not only fine-turn your workpieces with high precision in the hard condition (heat-treated), but also grind them using a 400 mm external grinding wheel and up to two high-performance internal grinding spindles. By using this machine, you minimize stock oversize required for grinding, reduce cycle times, and optimize accuracies.

Hard machining of threads, recesses and contours is also possible thanks to the machine's full turning functionality with up to 10,000 rpm on the workpiece spindle or grinding of non-circular polygon shapes thanks to high-precision C-axis interpolation of the workpiece at creep speed.

The indexing turret mounted at the bottom of the work area allows high-precision soft and hard turning of internal and external contours on both spindle 1 and spindle 2. Milling operations with live tools and Y-axis are also possible, e.g. for soft and hard milling of surfaces, keyways, and other contour elements - all during the same operation.

All linear and rotative axis with linear scales. There is no machine of similar precision and complexity on the market. Made in Germany in our Sauerlach-Munich Factory.
