Surgery form: Update going live on 4 March
The new surgery forms (minimal and extended), which went live in January 2025 require a couple of corrections. These have been prepared, and which will go live on 4 March.
Interaoperative monitoring: New case report form from ISIN
Developed in collaboration with the?International Society of Intraoperative Neurophysiology (ISIN), this form allows neuromonitorists to document?IONM protocols alongside surgical data, helping to improve patient safety and quality monitoring in spine surgery.?
Why is this important?
Hospitals, payers, and researchers need data on the?effectiveness of IONM in different procedures. By collecting standardized data, we can better understand when and how IONM improves patient outcomes.?
Who can use it?
If your hospital is already registered in?Spine Tango, neuromonitorists can now complete the?IONM form alongside the surgery form. Data for Research – great demand!
The demand for Spine Tango data for research purposes has increased significantly and we have already received numerous requests. Please hurry if you would like to have the data analysed, as the number of requests per year is limited.

Spine Atlas Initiative
Haven't registered for the 2025 data call of the Spine Atlas Initiative yet? There's still time! Even though the data collection period started, you still may get ethical approval to perform your data collection in a retrospective way and be part and a group author of this pioneering effort in understanding global treatment variation for patients with adult lumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis LDS.
This global initiative began collecting data in February, with over 150 hospitals in 50 countries already participating. The Spine Atlas will provide a comprehensive overview of spine care practices worldwide, allowing participants to gain visibility, contribute to high impact research and benefit from benchmarking opportunities.
