Spine and Orthopedic Expansion at AdventHealth Carrollwood

To meet the needs of the growing Tampa Bay region, AdventHealth Carrollwood has expanded its spine and orthopedic care recovery unit.

Intentionally built around patient needs, this state-of-the-art unit will give patients and their families local access to a brand-new way to feel whole with the following special features:

• 16 new, private patient rooms offer comfort, privacy, and security for patients.
• All 16 of the rooms have been built to be PCU and ICU capable, and four of them feature negative pressure capability.?
• All of the rooms are equipped with Stryker ProCuityTM Beds, which can accommodate patients across the care continuum - from MedSurge to ICU - and can easily reposition the patient at the push of a button.?
• A state-of-the-art Philips Monitoring System offers hemodynamic monitoring to ensure patient safety.?
• A large, open-concept nursing station is where physicians, nurses, techs, and ancillary services collaborate on all areas of our patient's care.?
• Decentralized pharmacy services allow pharmacists to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the clinical care team on our patients’ care, increasing patient safety.
• All patient rooms are equipped with private bathrooms and couches for families to maximize comfort during a visit.
