Spicerhaart Land and New Homes gear up for OxCam!

Spicerhaart Land and new Homes have been expanding into further refurbished offices at 889, Silbury Boulevard in the heart of Milton Keynes-right opposite John Lewis in the heart of the city-gearing up to be right in the middle of the proposed Oxford Cambridge corridor

The Oxford – Milton Keynes – Cambridge corridor or "OxCam" as its currently known, could well be set to see the arrival of up-to five new garden towns and Spicerhaart are well equipped to make the most of the opportunity both in the acquisition and onward sale of land.

Tim Wardley, Head of Land and New Homes at Spicerhaart said "The need for new homes within the UK has been under the microscope like never before.  More people are commuting into the City from the suburban towns and perhaps working from home one or two days a week, so it’s an obvious step to develop centrally within an hour of London and ultimately link the East to the West".

A total of 217,000 new homes were built last year which is more than double the total for 2010 – but it’s still below the Government’s 2025 target of building 300,000 a year.

It’s an incredible time for us at the moment and we have had to accelerate our plans to cope with the influx of requests from our developer clients in helping them source land.  Our new homes business has been transformed in a short period of time, with sales up in February by 198% compared to the same period last year, further demonstrating the activity in the new homes sector.

Developers and land owners can contact Spicerhaart’s Head Office on 01908 597397.
