Have you ever thought about how important it is to spice up your graphics on your various social media platforms? You will always want to have a good design that goes along with your overall brand image, which means that you will have to make changes to your graphics every now and then.
But how easy is it to achieve this? We’ll answer by saying that you can make the most of out a branding redesign, provided that you know your brand and how your company lives up to that brand through its products or services.
Try experimenting with all the different options and platforms you work with! You may already know that creating a graphic for Pinterest is much different compared to creating a graphic for Instagram or Facebook. Graphics need to transmit your overall values as a company, above all else, but not every platform will accept certain file types, file sizes, or dimensions. Figure out the limitations associated with each platform; then, discover the right colors, fonts, and vectors you should use for your redesign.
It is also important to use a consistent font in your graphics. We recommend using no more than three fonts in your designs. Additionally, use font styles that are easy to read - after all, there’s nothing more distracting to readers than a typeface that is too garish or ornate.
Another interesting way to spice up your accounts is to create puzzles out of your graphics. Take a set of six or nine graphics and scramble them up. If you invite visitors to your Instagram account to put them back together, they will reveal one big graphic with innovative content.
One trend that has been going around recently revolves around the use of themes for your social media design graphics. Making the most of such themes is a great way for your brand to stand out. First, select your brand’s color scheme and use that same scheme across your posted content. Because it’s so important to remain consistent in terms of your ability to innovate, change your scheme ever so slightly once in a while. Adding more or less saturation to a particular hue may be all that you need to do to breathe new life back into your brand imagery!
Effective social media design isn’t limited to the daily creation of the same graphic content over and over again. Use your imagination in innovative ways, and you will come to discover the effectiveness of those changes! Remember - social media is all about interaction, so find a way to interact with your audience through your designs.
