Spending Quality time with family overseas

Spending quality time with family is not sitting around at home doing nothing. It's an effort put in to make communication work in the family. Planning a trip elsewhere takes months. I was the only person working in the family. With the extra money put into work, I managed to save up to book a trip to Langkawi with my family.

How to save up for a purpose?

• Discuss with your spouse on holiday plans.
• Plan a budget for shopping, food, accommodation and activities.
• Book flights 6 months before the trip. It will be cheaper over time. Sometimes, flights offer discounts on selected dates, usually during the window period of 6 months.
• Keep on talking to yourself that you will bring your family for a trip. Everything will fall into place.

Although family trips might not guarantee a successful marriage, at least it's the effort put in that counts. We had a good time together, taking photos, going to places of interest and also learning the history of the island together. My daughter had fun too. Moreover, it's her first time taking a plane to another place.
