Spell check! 10 most common errors on LinkedIn profiles

RESUMES: While?LinkedIn?is a powerful tool to show-off your professional accomplishments, a simple spelling error can undercut your entire resume and ability. Resumes with multiple grammatical mistakes are about 20% less likely to have an interview than those without any errors, according to a study published by the PLOS .

To help applicants keep an eye out for errors, Preply analyzed? LinkedIn ?pages across 25 industries to investigate the top misspellings people made. Here are the 10 most common spelling mistakes found.?

PTO: Ninety-seven percent of workers who receive summer benefits — such as summer Fridays,?four-day workweeks?or flexible dress codes — say these benefits don't negatively impact their productivity, according to a recent survey conducted by job search platform Monster . In fact, 66% say their work productivity actually increases. Yet the same percentage of employees say they don't get?any kind of summertime benefits?from employers.?

Of those who receive?summer benefits, 47% work "summer hours" or reduced hours during the workweek, 31% receive four-day workweeks or full "summer Fridays" off and 28% get flexible hours during the workweek. Twenty-seven percent of those employees would consider leaving if they lost their summer benefits. Would you implement a summer schedule at your organization?

WORKPLACE SAFETY: More than half of frontline workers feel that the?threat of physical harm?is on the rise, and 40% claim they are more concerned about personal safety at work than they were a year ago, according to the 2023 Workplace Safety survey from security company Verkada . Nearly half of those frontline workers would quit their jobs if they could afford to, citing?threats to their personal safety?at work as the reason why.?

A first step for employers is?listening to better understand concerns?and what solutions might help their people feel safer. Two in three workers want to see?increased security measures and strategies?put into practice at work, which is possible with existing tools and resources that are available to employers.?
