Speed up your Polish!
Jon-Don released their new Speed-Maxx Pads in 2019 allowing polishing experts a new way to refine polishable overlays like Rapid-Set Tru PC .
After the initial 60/80 grit metal cut the day after your Tru PC pour, switching to the Speed-Maxx ramps up production while offering an incredible shine.
The advantage is the pads come in 9" and 11" sizes depending on your machinery, so one pad per head. These pads are designed to be run at high speed while moving the machine fast. Basically a standard walking speed! As you can imagine, this saves a great amount of labor increasing the profitability of your projects.
I had several customers that loved the results and began experimenting with standard concrete surfaces. I had great feedback so decided to give it a real test on a jobsite with Johnny Angel and the Rocky Mountain Hard Rock crew. A perfect trial jobsite of 750sf of retail space in Bozeman MT. The concrete was not perfect, but not too bad.
We began with the lowest grit available on my new toy, an HTC RXP remote control propane grinder/polisher, and brought it all the way up to 3,000.
Johnny had only bid for an 800 shine but I always like to exceed expectations!
The customer was beside themselves thrilled with the result. They only wanted a cream polish and these pads knocked it out of the park. We densified after the 400 grit with Refine-Maxx Lithium Densifier, no guard
We completed 750 sf with little signs of wear on the pads and finished the job in about 4 hours, including training and edge detail. Each pass over the floor took about 20 minutes. Considering the cost-effective price point on these pads they are an effective tool to keep in your bag if a project needs a little speedy boost!
