High Speed of Global Warming ... Manipulation or Mann_ipulation ...Man-Made Climate Science...Or ...MMMGW="Michael Mann Made Global Warming" ?

Although we see "high speed global warming" speeding up every century since the "Little Ice Age" between 1200AD and 1700AD, we need to see what is "high speed global warming" in proportion with "low speed global warming".

Although the sun is the dominant source of global warming in earth atmosphere and oceans and continents, humans & animals farting and CO2 get the blame for the high speed global warming in the work of Micael Mann .

Micael Mann is world-famous for his hockey stick climate modeling since the 2000AD millennium :

He was one of eight lead authors of the "Observed Climate Variability and Change" chapter of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Third Scientific Assessment Report published in 2001

In 2017, he was elected a Fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry .[8]

Mann has contributed to the scientific understanding of historic climate change based on the temperature record of the past thousand years . He has pioneered techniques to find patterns in past climate change and to isolate climate signals from noisy data .[7]

To filter a signal before sampling to eliminate noise aliasing , is a well know procedure to avoid folding the unwanted noise frequency spectrum down or up into the wanted signal spectrum :

• Low pass filter to suppress the unwanted high frequency noise
• High pass filter to suppress the unwanted low frequency noise
• Band pass filter to pass the wanted signal toward the sampler.

But how to decide what is the "wanted signal" and what is the "unwanted noise" in the recorded climate data from measurements and from proxies in climatology over the millennia of climate history.

• To look at long term data the high speed short term data can be suppressed by low pass filtering suppressing the high speed phenomena.
• To look at short term data the low speed data can get suppressed by high pass filtering suppressing the low speed phenomena.

The risk in data-filtering is to eliminate part of the data-spectrum instead of eliminating noise ...

• To eliminate noise is data-filtering
• To eliminate part of the data-spectrum is known as data manipulation or is it known as Mann-ipulation ?

To compare :

In hifi music filtering you need low frequencies and high frequencies but the human ears are limited in the perception of the sound frequencies so hearing aids take that knowledge into account to band pass filter the sound :

Similarly the spectrum of the climate data can get filtered correctly to suppress noise or wrongly to suppress data in view of the bandwidth of the data-receiver.

The data-receiver in political and civilian population is not very scientific as physics and chemistry of climate phenomena are not simple for high level scientists to translate this knowledge in the "language" of the average population lacking scientific education in physics and chemistry because the average intelligence is in other subjects for the average population.

In climate science there are too many unanswered questions and too many unquestioned answers ...
