SPEED IN BUSINESS IS A SUPERPOWER
Business is simple.
?Spot an opportunity to create value, act on it, sell it … then rinse and repeat!
So, if this is so simple, why does it often become so complicated?
The challenge for business today is the increasing PACE of the world.?
Everything is speeding up, and in a hyper-connected, AI-driven world, speed is a competitive advantage … and the lack of it is a business killer.
?The critical customer question today is NOT “Can you do it?”? It’s “How fast can you do it?”
In blunt terms … speed wins, and delay destroys!

●? The company that can get to high performance quickest wins.
●? The business that can get its suppliers to operate at a more responsive speed wins.
●? The salesperson who can get the customer to conversion fastest wins.
THE FOUNDATIONS OF SPEED
Speed is not a talent or a gift; it is a skill that can be cultivated in any business.
Underpinning the ability for speed are some essential foundations:
●? Speed of thinking: ?The capacity to understand context and concept faster and more completely than your competitor.
●? Speed of decision making: ?The ability to make intelligent choices more often and quicker than your competitors.
●? Speed of communication: ?The skill of sharing your thinking with others so powerfully that they instantly “buy in”.
●? Speed of action: Implementing and integrating innovations and value creation without delay.
●? Speed of correction: ?The capacity to adjust quickly to unexpected outcomes.
IS THERE A SYSTEM FOR SPEED?
This is a multi-layered question.? However, if a single system could drive these foundations of speed, it would be a system for clear thinking and powerful influence.?
A system that allows teams of people to unpack profound concepts quickly and then influence the choices others make to engage positively with those concepts.

Gary Vaynerchuck observes that the internet is shrinking the value of everything but communication.
The hyper-connectivity of the internet has made communication a new superpower.
The job of communication is to replace complexity and ambiguity with clarification and simplification.
When ambiguity is high and communication is low, leaders and salespeople often resort to “just trust me”. Unfortunately, that isn’t enough in today’s world.? “Just trust me” automatically elicits a “why should I” response.
