Specialised Jobs, but Who Will Do Them?

The fast-paced development of the offshore wind industry is causing the emergence of new, unforeseen jobs to which ports cannot cater as there is a lack of people and a lack of port capacity, Jesper Bank, Chief Commercial Officer of Port Esbjerg , said during a presentation in Denmark.

Skyborn Renewables and state-owned enterprise Mets?hallitus have entered into a reservation agreement, granting five years of exclusive rights to develop the 2 GW Pooki wind farm offshore Finland.

Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems (Fraunhofer IWES) has launched a new test rig that enables testing wind turbine blades longer than 115 metres. 维斯塔斯 , whose latest wind turbine model features 115.5-metre blades, will use the rig to perform the trials needed before starting serial production.
