The way of waging war has changed. To put a country on the ropes, even if it's the biggest superpower in the world,?you don't need huge missiles or nuclear weapons, you just need three things:?good geostrategy,?some technology?and?few scruples. And you know what? Russia and China are very clear about that.?
Both Russia and China have significant military forces deployed alongside close allies of the United States, as well as numerous commands and intelligence networks operating in numerous countries, particularly in their respective areas of influence. In the case of China,?Taiwan?stands out, and in Russia's case we have the examples of the Baltic countries:?Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.?
For example, the presence of Russian and US intelligence and counter-intelligence activities in this part of Europe today is not much different from what we would have found at the height of the Cold War, only today the tables have turned: the Baltics are no longer controlled by the Russians, but by their own independent governments. Governments that are part of NATO and, by extension, under the direct military influence of the?United States.?
Well, the fact is that we are talking about a border between the Western world and Russia that is currently experiencing its hottest moment since the fall of the USSR. For example, nowadays it is not unusual to see reconnaissance planes and communications interceptors flying over the skies of the Baltic States almost every day.?
Now, what does all this have to do with an attack on the United States? Well, you see, the point is that the?spying and counter-espionage?activities?of the CIA?and other US intelligence agencies, both in the Baltics and in other hot spots such as China and Afghanistan are being?disrupted and attacked.?
Dozens of CIA informants?have disappeared?in?what appears to be the largest?foreign intelligence counteroffensive?in recent history. There is no precedent for such a macro-operation in which so many informants have been liquidated in such a short time.?
And everything indicates that behind such a campaign is the geo-strategy of Russia and China, whose governments and intelligence services seem to want to take advantage of the alleged political weakness of the United States to raise the tension and thus achieve their goals.?
I'm sure many of you have already heard of it, but there is a "syndrome" – to give it a name – that has come to be known as the?"Havana syndrome".?
It is a?neurological symptomatology condition?that includes?pain,?vertigo,?reception of strange sounds?or?difficulty concentrating, among others. It is named after the alleged?microwave?attack that affected the diplomatic missions of the United States and Canada in Havana (Cuba) at the end of 2016. These symptoms and, especially, the strange noises that could be heard, always happened when the diplomats were?at home or in their hotel rooms, but not in other places, which indicates that they may have been attacks with some kind of?directed energy weapon.?

Well, this "syndrome" has become topical again, especially after news stories like this.?
Kamala Harris Vietnam trip delayed after two US officials report Havana syndrome?– The Guardian?
This news is real. These kinds of attacks could already be directly targeting the highest echelon of power in the most powerful country in the world. We are talking about a possible attack on officials close to the US vice president.?
And the question is, when and how will the next attack take place? Could it perhaps affect?President Joe Biden himself? We are talking about a threat that the United States has so far failed to counter. The last case occurred at the end of September 2021 in Serbia, where a member of the CIA was attacked.?
In fact, this type of attack is being repeated so frequently that, within the CIA and the Department of Homeland Security of the United States, it is already seen as?one of the greatest threats to the national security of the American power.?
Is the United States under attack? The answer is clear: everything points to?yes. But the question is, by whom, and why??
One of the key factors to the modern model of warfare – which is based above all on hybrid warfare – lies in?fear?and the use of?constant tension?to achieve political or economic objectives.?
The first is achieved through the positioning of?traditional military forces?on the borders, as Russia is doing along its western border.?
A good example is the recent?Zapad-2021?military exercises that Russia held in Belarus from 10 to 16 September 2021. These were the?largest military exercises on Russia's western border in the history?of the young federation. Around?200,000 troops,?15 ships,?80 aircraft?and?760 units of heavy weapons, including 290 tanks, were mobilized. These exercises were seen by the Baltic countries and NATO as a possible rehearsal for invasion, which set off all the alarms, forcing the United States to deploy more counterintelligence units in the area.?
Then we have another path, perhaps even more feared, which is the one we discussed in the previous section. The?cheapening of technology?and the appearance of new devices and weapons such as drones, tiny spy cameras or even sophisticated weapons that cannot even be perceived, seem set to create a new scenario of?silent warfare?for which Western countries?must prepare themselves. And in the face of this challenge we must always bear one thing in mind: countries hostile to the Western bloc, mainly China and Russia, will?not hesitate to use these techniques?as soon as they are useful to them.?
At the moment, what we know is that in terms of geo-strategy and intelligence, the United States is going through its worst patch in years. And that is something that should be of concern to us all.?
