It's a very special day today for all the Chinese, the birthday of one of the greatest leaders in history, Chairman Mao.
His great contributions to China and Chinese people in history, simply can't be described in just a few sentences. While his literal achivements, such as his poems, can't be shared with fellows who may also be a fans of him like me.
Among those many in the collection book, I have specially selected one very famous work, which can be shared here, in the hope of cheering us more and more people in this tough and special moment of economic downturn situation. Here we go!
The Long March
by Mao Zedong
The Red Army fears not the trials of the Long March,
Holding light ten thousand crags and torrents.
The Five Ridges wind like gentle ripples,
And the majestic Wumeng roll by, globules of clay.
Warm the steep cliffs lapped by the waters of Golden Sand,

Cold the iron chains spanning the Dadu River.
Minshan's thousand miles of snow joyously crossed,
The three Armies march on, each face glowing.
Written in the season of winter,he expressed the indomitable spirits of the Red Army, regardless of the cold weather and extremely harsh challenges from natures like crossing dangerous moutains and rivers, and threats from the enemies during the Long March.
The bitter struggles of the Long March, which was completed by only about one-tenth of the force that left Jiangxi (about eight thousand of some hundred thousand), would come to represent a significant episode in the history of the CCP, and would seal the personal prestige of Mao and his supporters as the new leaders of the party in the following decades.
My Reflection
Great leadership, indomitable spirits(courage,or corporate culture & values) and persistence under hard time are crucial to overcome whatever hardship we're facing, fear not of the long darkness before dawn. Cheers!
