A special place, close to my heart... CBS.

Sharing a part of me through this piece...

As I sit here inditing this answer, nostalgia-gripped, my fingers hard at work trying to put into words all my feelings, my experience at CBS, I realize it's the first day of a new year today. The perfect occasion to look back on everything that happened last year and count your blessings. I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything that has happened last month. It felt nothing short of a crazy, topsy-turvy rollercoaster ride. The first month of college changed a lot of things for me. Now I could no longer wake up late, having to attend classes for 4-5 hours straight. No more carefree attitude of eating- watch phone- sleep -repeat.?

I don't even know where to start with so much going on. From getting added to a gazillion WhatsApp groups that always had 200+ messages every hour, my WhatsApp completely flooded with avalanches of texts, +1s, and sticker fights. From attending classes and webinars during the day to joining long late-night informal meets with my newfound friends and classmates, I lost track of how fast the day flew. From asking for class links and notes to entreatingly imploring for answers to sbd assignments in our section d unofficial group, we relied on each other for everything. From "tag me when attendance starts" to " vai meri attendance (proxy) lagaa dena"; counting on each other for attendance is a constant. I get so bored during EVS classes that I inadvertently dozed off during the lecture once : P I have some wonderful friends here on whom I know I can count on. They marked my present too, that day. I like keeping my camera switched on during class. (Always the only one doing that though.) That way, I can focus in class better and not tend to sleep again.

I feel we've got understanding and skilful professors. I am from a science background but owing to our really great teachers who make all these new topics invariably easy to understand. I'm grateful. From Vijay Lakshmi ma'am's signature "are you getting my point?!" to Gurjeet ma'am's brownie points system, the bond we have made with our professors in just over a month is immeasurably priceless.?

As much as our professors love teaching us during the 10 min breaks, our class loves planning mass bunks. Although anticlimactically enough, in the end, most people eventually decide to show up for the class/webinar.?

All ado without nothing. sigh

Apart from the already intensive class schedule, we also get bombarded with frequent webinar invites in the mail.

All my classmates are amicable and cordial. I had never expected I'd make such great friends and forge such deep friendships in such a short time. Apart from our informal meets, we oft come together for listening songs on our discord server (aptly named "mehfils" ) and have bi-weekly virtual movie meets.?Stalking Instagram pages of all the societies and following up on the confession pages of our batch for tea is my latest pastime.

In these trying times of night curfews and a situation of potential lockdown with the spike in covid cases, where we have to make do with a virtual classroom, I found solace in my warm, accomodating classmates (who have now become dear friends) and our wonderful mentors.

It's all just so overwhelming, heartwarming, and enduring that I'll say my experience at CBS has been nothing short of magical. CBS has given me many things including a LinkedIn profile ; )

?I know it's a pretty long writeup as my emotions & I melted into words. If you were with me till this line, I'd like to say thank you so much for reading and taking out some precious time from your busy schedule. I'm blessed. Thank you for reading all my lovely followers.

PS. It was 1st January/2022 when I had composed this, pouring my heart out on the paper.
