MODI GOVERNMENT [ THE RULING PARTY] recently, announced the special parliamentary session from 18-22 SEPTEMBER. Before going further let’s understand what does the term SPECIAL PARLIAMENTRY SESSION mean?
?There are 3 sessions annually held by the parliament.
1.??? Budget session – from February to may
2.??? Monsoon session – from July to September
3.??? Winter session – from November to December
SPECIAL PARLIAMETARY SESSION – any time during the year
?So Basically, it is the session called by the government on an exigency terms to commemorate parliamentary or national milestone. The fact behind this session is that it does not have any constitutional existence. According to article 85(1) of the Indian constitution, the president summons the session of the parliament, so as to note that the special session is also addressed by the President. This session is not like the regular held session ,the main difference in both is that normally held sessions have the QUESTION HOUR ,ZERO HOUR whereas, special session does not have any QUESTION HOUR ,ZERO HOUR ,?????? There are two types of special parliamentary session –
1.??? Proper special sessions- this type of session happens with debates and lots of discussions whereas;

2.??? Midnight sessions – There is no debates in this type of session.
???? Coming towards the agenda of the session, it can be anything related to national war, calamity ,etc.
The first ever proper session was called upon in the year 1962 for the indo-china war followed by in 1997 and 2015.There were 5 Midnight session held up till now, in which the most known was of the 2017 GST roll out bill. ??????????

?On 31st august, our parliamentary affairs minister, Pralhad Joshi had called upon the 5 day sessions from 18-22 SEP. The Agenda for the session was not revealed by the minister, but assured the citizen of India to have a fruitful discussion and debate in the parliament. In view of the agenda, there are many agenda to be upheld by the government such as the UCC bill, one nation one election, Manipur crisis , unemployment ,etc. Amidst to this,there are also many opposition leader claiming that the announcement of the session is not valid . Sonia Gandhi ,the president of INC claims that the session has been announced with the consultation of other political parties and the agenda for the session has also not declared whereas , Supriya Sule ?one of the member of parliament from Maharashtra ?claims that the time period of the session? is not valid as their will be the GANESH CHATURTI? at that time .
