The rate of urbanization the world over has been largely linear over the last century, but in Asia it has been exponential with cities like Shenzhen rising from the swamps in barely two decades.

Asia’s rapid urbanization has had massive implications on public safety, resource availability and quality of life for the millions who migrate to megacities. Building infrastructure, pushing efficiency and pumping money to address the challenge only works if done strategically with a strong technological backbone –a necessary ingredient in the recipe for success.
