SPECIAL EPISODE OF "THE CULTURE OF SPORTS" FEATURES TWO WHO WALKED ON AT WILLIAM & MARY AND LEFT AS STARTERS WITH GRADUATE DEGREES!
There will be a special episode of "The Culture of Sports" featuring Andrew Weidinger and Eric Hensley, both of whom were recruited as walk-ons for William & Mary, and left as starters on the Tribe's football team with graduate degrees.
*Andrew Weidinger, fullback for the Tribe, was also the nominee from William & Mary for the William V. Campbell trophy, also known as "The Academic Heisman."
*Eric Hensley, the Tribe's tight end, distinguished himself both athletically as a starter and academically in graduating with three degrees!
The Culture of Sports focuses on its business, community, economic, educational, philosophical, political, and spiritual aspects. Interviewed for the show have been Members of Congress, state legislators, county executives, coaches, sports psychologists, and athletic directors, among others. This segment will feature how devoted athletic directors, coaches and other administrators have established programs in which dedicated student-athletes can walk on and leave as starters with graduate degrees from one of the finest institutions of higher learning in the world! There are many schools like this is America with dedicated athletic directors and coaches as more than 1000 Division 1 athletes competed this year after graduating, going back to earn more degrees thanks to sports programs that encourage both academic and athletic achievement!

Jonathan Yates is the host of, "The Culture of Sports", a show that focuses on its business, community, economic, educational, philosophical, and political features.
He has degrees from Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and Georgetown University Law Center; and has also matriculated at the U.S. Naval War College and The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Much of his career was spent working for Members of Congress and state legislators in positions such as Chief of Staff, General Counsel, Legislative Director, Press Secretary, and Legislative Assistant. Twice he was granted "Top Secret" clearance in accordance with his duties on Capitol Hill. In the private sector, he was General Counsel for a publicly traded corporation and Assistant Washington Counsel for a major trade association. He has taught courses on government, business-government relations, and national security policy.
