Special Edition: A dose of Putin

Tucker Carlson has done it again, over 200M views on his interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. A revealing interview where Vladimir Putin outlined his views on the geopolitical tensions surrounding Ukraine, NATO's expansion, and the broader implications for global power dynamics. The conversation touched on historical, economic, and military aspects, reflecting Putin's perspective on Russia's position in the world and its relations with other countries.

Putin began by addressing the strategic considerations that have influenced Russia's stance toward Ukraine and NATO. He argued that NATO's potential expansion into Ukraine poses a direct threat to Russia, highlighting a fundamental concern that has shaped Russian foreign policy. The inability of Ukraine to join NATO while at war—a scenario that, from Moscow's viewpoint, perpetuates a state of conflict—serves as a strategic buffer for Russia.

Historically, Putin delved into the origins of the Ukrainian identity, describing it as rooted in the borderlands of the Russian state, without a distinct ethnic differentiation. He traced the concept of a Ukrainian nation-state back to political manoeuvres by the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Poland to weaken Russia before the World Wars. Further, he claimed that the territories of Western Ukraine were historically Russian lands, reclaimed by the USSR after World War II and formalized through the establishment of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic in 1922—a move Stalin insisted on to include these territories as autonomous entities within the Soviet Union.

Putin expressed a view that Ukraine's status as an independent nation is an artificial construct, a legacy of the Soviet Union's collapse in 1991. He lamented the dissolution, attributing it to a betrayal by Russian leaders who naively believed in shared values and commonalities with the West, including language, culture, and economic ties. The expectation was for continued cooperation, particularly with the United States and the collective West, underpinned by a vision for a unified security framework in Europe that would not necessitate NATO's expansion.

We can also appreciate Putin's economic perspectives, notably his assertion that China with a population of 1.5 billion people and a 5% growth economic yearly rate has surpassed the United States as the world's leading economy as per purchasing power, parity and again size. He emphasized Russia's development of advanced military technologies, including hypersonic systems, as a measure of its sovereignty and strength.

Putin criticized the U.S. for its role in the 2014 Ukrainian crisis and the subsequent military conflicts in Crimea and Donbas, accusing the U.S. leadership and the CIA of orchestrating events that led to the current state of hostility. He condemned the West's support for what he views as a coup in Ukraine, and the failure of European countries to implement the Minsk Agreements, aimed at resolving the conflict.

The Russian leader also touched on the ideological battles over Ukraine's national identity, condemning the glorification of figures who collaborated with Nazi Germany and advocating for what he calls "de-Nazification" to prevent the spread of such ideologies. Putin's narrative includes a call for the U.S. to cease its military support for Ukraine, framing it as a prerequisite for peace.

In fears of global war which would lead in Putin words to near the destruction of humanity he insists in the USA to stop funding the war after injecting Ukraine with over 72 billion US dollar, sending mercenaries as well as Poland and Georgia. Even though President Zelensky has passed legislation that forbit negotiations with Russia, they have been talks previously to stop the war in Ukraine but this contradicts any USA interest so they keep going. I quote

“USA has a national debt of 33Trillion dollar to fight as well as migration problems to focus on and other issues.. Not sure why they insist on a losing cause such as a Russian defeat” President Vladimir Putin.

Further, Putin discussed the global financial system, criticizing the U.S. reliance on the dollar and its sanctions policy as strategic errors that weaken American power. The USA has a minimal inflation of 3% to 3.4% acceptable by Americans and only sustained by the US printing machines accumulating a staggering debt as previously mentioned on my articles of 33 trillion Dollars. Until 2022 80% of foreign Trade by Russians was made in Dollars and Euros. US dollars are approx. 50% of transactions in Russia with 3rd countries. Currently is down to 13% !! this is due to US to restrict Russian transactions this is self-defeating per USA interest as they damage their power globally and in detriment of the US taxpayers.

He highlighted Russia's shift away from dollar transactions in favour of the Chinese yuan which went from 3% to 34% of foreign transactions, reflecting a broader realignment in global trade and finance. So far this year the goal of trade between Russia and China was 200Billion $ which they have surpass already at near 300Billion $. The bilateral trade is well balanced as in High Tech, Energy, Scientific development just to mention a few. Oil payments more often are being made in Yuan than dollars.

I was impressed by Putin’s calmness and capacity to educate MR Carlson therefore his deep knowledge on sensitive topics of interest while characterized by a critique of U.S. policies, a vision for Russian resilience and independence, and a cautious outlook on the evolving global order, which he sees as increasingly multipolar and influenced by emerging economies like the BRICS nations. Indonesia with its 600 million population its now seating at the table of most rapid developing economies.

To conclude my view on this extremely sensitive interview is that Putin has a will for dialogue and he has tried several times to do the right thing but such efforts has been declined by the west and therefore the USA. For example being rejected to enter NATO decision influenced by US leaders. I won't analyse his persona as the politics game is not one of my interest.

Remember I am not taking sides, simply analysing information. So you can be informed.

I hope you enjoyed this brief and your cup of tea!

Kindest Regards,
