Hot Search Topic of the week        

Hot search topic of this week is not going to be about Google Updates haha, but it’s going to be on Google’s Search On Event which happened last week.

At the Search On 22, Google announced a number of new features across Google Search, Google News, Google Shopping and more!.?

So let’s summarise some top ones:

1- More Visual information        

Google is showing for some queries a more visually designed approach to the search results. This allows you to explore more information about topics around travel, people, animals, plants and so on.

Google will show you visual stories, short videos, tips, things to do and more, depending on the query. Google will also visually highlight the more relevant information in this UX.

• About this results displays personalisation

Google is expanding the about these results feature to show more personalised for you.

So if you say you prefer a specific department or brand, within the new shopping features, Google will let you configure that here.

• New Search refinements

Google is also rolling out new search refinements and aids for when you search in autocomplete and within the search results. Now as you type your query, Google will present tappable words to build your query on the fly. This is a form of a query builder, by simply just tapping on words.

Here is a screenshot where you can see the different refinement features shown.

• Multisearch expanding

This one is one of the most interesting one IMO.?

Google is expanding multisearch to 70 languages in the coming months.

But what is Google Multisearch and how it works?

Google multisearch lets you use your camera’s phone to search by an image, powered by Google Lens, and then add an additional text query on top of the image search. Google will then use both the image and the text query to show you visual search results.

How it works?

1- Open the Google app on Android or iOS

2- click on the Google Lens camera icon on the right side of the search box.?

3- Then point the camera at something nearby or use a photo in your camera or even take a picture of something on your screen.?

4- Then you swipe up on the results to bring it up, and tap the “+ Add to your search” button. In this box you can add text to your photo query.

2- Top SEO tip         

This week SEO tip is about the importance of a having a good and reliable web hosting service.

A top tip I would give to anyone owning a website is to pay for a good hosting service and keep everything domain and hosting in a safe place, and don’t try to save money on that.

But what are some reasons why is important?

1- Better Security?

2- Better Support?

3- Better load speed and performance, which equals better user experience.

4- With other hundred things, it will help you to rank better.

5- Fewer issues, fewer headaches.

Imagine when your website goes down, and your clients can’t buy your products, then you’re losing money and offering a very bad customer experience.

So, my honest advice here is don’t pay for cheap and bad hosting services company, and get the best option you can, but only if you are serious about growing your business!?

3- Top PPC Tip        

?This week’s ppc tip is very simple, but very useful.

Always check and monitor your daily ad spend on Google Ads.

As Google Allocates your budget but sometimes doesn’t spend it all every day for some reasons.

So, check your budget report, and you will see how much you spend every day and how much you will be spending that month. (see a quick example below)
