Speakers and Panellists

Speakers and Panellists

2023 and half way through! One thing to note I don't often write articles anymore. I was just looking through the numbers for this year at the Central London Property Network.

In the last decade plus I have been hosting events, in fact at one time 40 events in a year and I still think wow! Now I run 10 events a year (and soon bringing back the Summits- although 12 meets will be the maximum for sometime).

I enjoy bringing in new panellists/speakers to the event- whether its a themed event- In July, Jack Jiggens is chairing the event focused on Young Property Professionals.

Some stats about 2023:

18 new panellists/speakers for the 10 events that I will have run this year, so almost two new panellists and speakers per meet.

In fact this year, I will have only nine speakers who have spoken in previous years.

A massive thanks must go to:

Jack Jiggens, XP Property, James Hughes, eXp UK, Saam Lowni of Merryoaks, Will Mallard.

It really makes a difference to get introductions to speakers and panellists so massive thanks.

I am always open to new panellists and speakers and this does mean that I do travel the country to hear from panellists and speakers prior to booking them in.

Not always do I listen to panellists in advance, although speakers I certainly do. Why? Because the speaker maybe the right fit for one meet, although not for another for numerous reasons.

I have already been contacted six months ahead of schedule for booking in speakers/panellists now in 2024.

In case you are a prospective panellist/speaker, one thing to note:

Event Organisers- speak to each other. I personally may not speak to a large network of event organisers although a nucleus of 2-3 event hosts.

I am open to conversations with speakers and panellists who are not on the circuit as its often referred to as, particularly if you have been featured in a podcast.

Going forward I do wonder how much impact there will be with AI on the Property Networking sector. Research is limited at the moment, although this is just the starting point. Nothing can beat personal connections and this is what I have strived to do having hosted live events over the last decade plus, with thousands of attedees over the period of time, and hundreds of panellists/speakers.
