"Speak the Speech"

In the last 24 hours, we have seen and heard how incredibly potent and cogent the spoken word is to our full understanding of words on a page or screen.

Even with a speaker not that eager to speaking publicly, his commitment and character gave gravitas and weight to the findings he felt impelled to articulate in his own way rather than let mutant interpretations stand.

In his measured way, he demonstrated how powerfully, yet simply intention, passion, depth and nuance brings meaning to life.

When the film of this time is produced, a highly skilled actor ( my vote is Brian Cranston) will bring his words to even higher levels of understanding and significance…not by adding histrionics but by committing, with temperance and tone, to honoring the import and intent of the text.

Like so many current requests that accompany our work, the less adornment the presentation has, the more vividly the intention, message and meaning is able to shine through.

For messengers, that is the job… to render the intention, spirit and feeling of the written word and to frame the words in a context that lifts them

off the page.

Whether the work is humble or historic, dynamic or subtle, it is how we do what we do that makes all the difference in the world.

Bravo Marice!
