Speak It To Reality
Great leaders know that in order to achieve a successful outcome they have to speak as if the outcome had already been achieved in order to inspire trust in those around them and to attain the outcome successfully.
Great leaders create a vision that demonstrates what success looks like when everyone cooperates. They establish the desired endpoint and work backward from there to define the necessary means to get there and take inspired actions. The vision is generated by great leaders who say things along the lines of “If we all do our part, we will have a much better outcome than if each one of us does our own thing in our corner hoping it will fit.”
Speaking as if the outcome is already achieved may sound something along the lines of: “Imagine that we all have this [… desired outcome…]. Imagine how all our audiences are mingling with each other, creating millions in revenue for all of us. Imagine the feeling of reward that comes from such a success, and how this is the most wonderful endeavor we’ve ever undertaken together, leaving a lasting impact and amazing memories.”
