Sometimes the Thing That's Holding You Back...... Is all In Your Head!

SPEAK LIFE!!

In 1963, Hall of Fame baseball pitcher Gaylord Perry made an offhanded comment before stepping into the batter's box: "They'll put a man on the moon before I hit a home run" 

Now, pitchers don't usually hit homers on a regular, so his statement is not totally baseless. It is rather ironic that Gaylord Perry hit the first and only home-run of his baseball career six years later on July 20, 1969--just a few hours after Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon! 

This illustrates a powerful principle that is true in every sphere of life from athletic to economics. For better or for worse, our words double as self-fulling prophecies. Negative prophecies are validated by fear. Positive prophecies are validated by faith. 

Whatever a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Out of the overflow of the heart the mouths speaks.

What are you speaking to yourself? What are you speaking to others? Your kids? Your colleagues? As I have taken inventory, I have not always spoke life; I thought I did.

Encourage those in your sphere of influence. Believe what was once thought to be impossible; is yet possible.

Our words and our thoughts are more powerful than we realize.
