Spatial Audio Highlights Of February

Mit 3D Audio ein Zeichen setzen - bevor es alle tun | Marken- und Produktexperiences, immersive Erlebnisse mit Storytelling
Hi everybody, and welcome back to my monthly newsletter ????.??
Here are the most important topics of 3D?Audio from February that you shouldn't have missed:
Enjoy??
Did Google and Samsung just join forces to kick Dolby out of the market?!?
They just built an audio format just like mp3 but next-gen, called: IAMF, the Immersive Audio Model and Format.?Is this something for Dolby to be afraid of??
?? Why IAMF Matters: IAMF is?here to redefine standards. With one billion watched hours every day, YouTube could become the new hub for immersive audio, thanks to IAMF's accessibility and versatility.
???Dolby is great for Hollywood films and studio owners like myself. But just not as accessible for the typical content creators.
?? IAMF is about democratizing immersive audio for the masses. Now to the important?question:?Will Dolby be overtaken?
?? I was annoyed that everybody made this mistake - until I understood why
?? Almost every day I stumble across immersive projects that market themselves as ground-breaking, but have once again skimped on a fundamental component: the sound. It's always frustrating to hear that there was obviously no professional at work - if anyone took care of the sound at all.
??? "What are clients and production companies - and agencies - thinking?" I thought to myself. The truth is probably: "Nothing". And that's when I had my aha moment??:
?? How are people supposed to know what good audio sounds like if they have never heard it themselves?

Google's Pixel Fold supports spatial audio via the integrated speakers
Folding mobile phones are back and are opening up (pun intended) completely new possibilities ba dum ts
?? Seriously. These double-sized smartphones can supposedly also generate spatial audio, which envelops you in sound even though you only have your mobile phone in front of you.
?? Google explains that this function can be used not only on headphones, but also via the integrated speakers. Similar to a surround sound system.
Jokes aside, here are quick thoughts you have not read yet:
?? Everybody is amazed watching Apple Vision Pro with 2D graphics (wow, innovation) and misses the true marvel - 3D Audio.
?? Why is no one talking about it!? Humans can not see what is behind them - but hear everything without turning around. You can hear the sound of footsteps approaching from behind or the sound of the ocean immersing you more than 2D visuals ever could.
??? With the Apple Vision Pro you CAN use your fancy 2D images, 3D spatial videos, 360 Video content, or even 6 DoF roomscale experiences as AR and VR. ? But in ALL of those cases, SPATIAL AUDIO is not just nice to have, it's mandatory. Or did you forget it's a SPATIAL COMPUTER? ??
?? Curious how this groundbreaking 3D audio can transform your experience? Follow me and I'll show you how to discover every detail. This thing has so many sound features and benefits, I'll gladly shine some light on them - what do you think???Let me know what you are curious about!

9 个月In any case Samsung and Google are an equal competitor to Dolby. Or is it David vs. Goliath? ;)
