SparkWheel Receives $2,295 Grant from Elm Acres Foundation
PITTSBURG & PARSONS, KANSAS – SparkWheel is proud to announce its recent receipt of a $2,295 grant from the Elm Acres Foundation, administered by the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas (CFSEK). This grant will support SparkWheel's programs in Parsons and Pittsburg, Kansas, dedicated to empowering at-risk youth and fostering positive community engagement.?
The Elm Acres Foundation, Inc. is committed to providing support for at-risk youth in the Southeast Kansas community, spanning Crawford, Cherokee, and Labette counties. Since 2017, the Foundation has conducted an annual grant cycle for programs and services tailored to at-risk youth through CFSEK. The recent grant awards from the Elm Acres Foundation to 16 Southeast Kansas organizations for at-risk youth projects total $22,095, demonstrating its steadfast commitment to the region's youth.?
This grant is part of CFSEK's ongoing efforts to support area organizations and initiatives since its establishment in 2001. Currently, CFSEK offers six grant opportunities annually to foster community development and address pressing needs. The Elm Acres Foundation, in partnership with CFSEK, has distributed over $160,000 to over 50 nonprofit organizations in Cherokee, Crawford, and Labette counties, making a significant impact on the lives of at-risk youth in the region.?
