Continuing Sam Walton's vision of helping people live better, Walmart Global Tech India stands by our values of giving back to the community by partnering with NGOs to deliver societal impact, locally.

Working closely with one of our very first NGO partners- Sahasra Deepika has helped us create change over the past five years. From our first project- building a new wing to expand the NGO’s infrastructure, to our latest project - enabling online learning with a fully equipped computer lab, our passion to make a difference has grown stronger.?

Over the years, through our association with Sahasra Deepika, we’ve built a multi-purpose sports court, facilitated the expansion of accommodation, provided solar lighting, water heating, and inventories of school supplies.

At another NGO Baale Mane Trust, Walmart has supported the girl students with enhanced kitchen facilities, improved living spaces, and continued electricity supply. These projects have enhanced the lives of the girl students and their caregivers, helping them pursue their education.

Along with ensuring regular water supply, providing electricity through the pandemic ensured that the Baale Mane Trust could successfully run online programs that not only featured academic learning, but also better health, women’s rights, teamwork, and emotional well-being.?

The pandemic proved to be challenging for many NGOs, specifically when adapting to online learning. In a bid to bridge the digital divide, Walmart Global Tech India provided new smartphones to Udayan Care, fulfilling a critical need that enabled the girl students to pursue their education.?
