YouTube expands thumbnail editing options for Shorts
YouTube is giving Shorts creators more options to customise their video thumbnails by allowing them to edit the thumbnail frame after the video has been uploaded. Creators can add text, filters, and emojis to the image.
However, users still don't have the option to upload fully custom thumbnails like they can for regular YouTube Videos. YouTube explains that custom thumbnails for Shorts aren't as crucial since most viewers find Shorts through the full-screen feed rather than by clicking on thumbnails.

X removes EU users from xAI training data
Elon Musk's xAI project has been forced to exclude data from EU users due to legal challenges regarding data privacy under GDPR.?
xAI uses public posts on X to train its AI models, such as the Grok chatbot. However, there are concerns from EU officials about users giving consent for such data use.??
The exclusion of EU data could weaken Grok’s ability to provide real-time updates on European news.
