Spain Finetwork aims to double subscription base by the end of 2024.
Spanish fixed broadband and mobile services provider Finetwork has set out its strategic targets for the short-to-medium term, with?CEO?Oscar Vilda saying his company aims to double its customer base in 2024, backed by the imminent introduction of a new range of products and services. Furthermore, Vilda stated that Finetwork plans to launch its television proposal via?OTT?at the end of July and will become a Full?MVNO?from April 2024.
The operator currently counts a little over 900,000 subscriptions and is ‘confident’ of reaching the one million mark by October 2023, a doubling of its current base by end-2024 and states it is reasonable to target a tripling of mobile subscriptions and a quadrupling of fixed subscriptions by 2027 – all of which should increase income by ‘more than 120%’. To achieve this, online news journal Gearrice cites Vilda as stating that Finetwork wants to reach 15 million homes passed in 2024 and 20 million in 2026 – utilising ‘merger remedies and wholesale agreements’ adding that whilst this will cost money, ‘there are already two or three funds interested in joining the company and a bank interested in financing it’. Finetwork’s long-term goal, according to the?CEO, is to get closer to a 5% market share organically, but ‘without destroying the market’.
